We were particularly pleased about the commission for the Graphic design of a Book on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of a management consultancy.

On the one hand, because we liked the idea, to appreciate the most beautiful anecdotes from the company’s history with a unique gift under the title Encounters. And on the other hand, because the client wanted a luxury version.

In short, this project made our hearts beat faster as graphic designers for book design.

Graphic design Concept

This book was given a simple and clear graphic concept with the division into a chapter for each anecdote. These were visually delimited with transparent dividers to give a glimpse of the headings of the next chapter. The chapter headings, set in the lavish red letters of a Venetian Renaissance antiqua, already shimmered through.

Book design with noble papers

In addition to the elegant yet fresh font design, the choice of the finest paper contributes to the high-quality impression of this book design. Fine Chinese paper in a warm chamois tone and transparent dividers with a matt surface made the anniversary book a haptically sensual experience.

The book cover, covered with red velour, and the anthracite-colored endpapers are reflected in the cover of the slipcase and the extravagant piping on the narrow sides of the protective book cover.

Graphic design and artistic manual binding

The graphic designer’s work on the book design is just one ingredient for the success of extraordinary printed products. The other significant achievement is the loving production by bookbinders, who master their craft artistically and masterfully.

This jubilee book with the skilful thread binding, the red capital band and silver hot foil embossing of the title Encounters on the spine became a unique gift.
