About This Project

Graphic design Changing View

In 1910 the exhibition Masterpieces of Mohammedan art took place in Munich. The largest show of Islamic art in Munich to date was created at the suggestion of the Bavarian Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria. 100 years later, the series of events commemorates Changing Views of this epochal event

The 100th anniversary will be celebrated in 2010 with a brilliant art and culture programme. Munich museums, galleries and educational institutions, such as the cultural department of the city of Munich, the Haus der Kunst, the Bavarian State Library, the State Museum of Ethnology, the Institute for Art History of the LMU and many more are taking part.

Over a period of about 6 months, exhibitions, discussions, films, concerts, readings, lectures, dance performances and many other event formats will commemorate the major Munich event of 1910 and also create current social references.

Marlene Kern Design, online advertising agency, was commissioned with the holistic design of the appearance and the creation of all advertising media. In addition to a program brochure in a handy format, flyers and advertisements, we also created the concept and structure for the web design.
