About This Project

Logo design

The Dutch Consulate General in Munich is committed to the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Goals defined by the United Nations. And who want to contribute to improving the living conditions of people, animals and the environment.

My creative agency Munich was commissioned to design a logo that would represent this commitment. A symbol was to be designed that created a visual connection.

A windmill became the basic idea. This motif stands for the Netherlands like no other. This makes this symbol ideal for this logo design.

I have divided the windmill pinwheel into seventeen segments. These not only take the form of the seventeen sustainability goals, but also the color values. In this way, the visual reference is established.

The dark blue basic shape of the mill in the logo design represents the building itself on one side. It also stands for the letter A, which was replaced with the symbol in the invitation to this year’s King’s Day.
