About This Project

Digipack, booklet, CD label & slipcase – graphic design for the audio book edition “Jörg Hube reads literature of the 20th century”. The same laws apply to music marketing as in other areas. It is important to distinguish oneself visually at the point of sale and to attract the eye of the potential customer with interesting packaging design. We were commissioned to stage the design of the audio book edition for the Forum Unterschleissheim. Five CDs were created, which the actor Jörg Hube read literature with works by authors of the 20th century. »We Are Prisoners« by Oskar Maria Graf, »The Father of a Murderer, A School Story« by Alfred Andersch, »The Last Days of Mankind, Tragedy in Five Acts with Prelude and Epilogue« by Karl Kraus, »I Want to Bear Witness to the Last, Diaries 1933-1945« by Victor Klemperer and »Mephisto, Novel of a Career« by Klaus Mann. The portrait of Jörg Hube became the main motif. Distorted in color, it became the title motif of the five digipacks. The inside pages showed portraits of the authors, whose pictures we also designed expressively with colour distortions – matching the expressive texts of the writers.
