About This Project

Publication for the Bavarian State Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts. The aim of the publication was to present the self-image, tasks and projects of the Bavarian State Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts. The Bavarian State Ministry sees itself as an institutional framework that enables and promotes development. We took up this idea and visualized it by providing each photo of the publication with a colorful frame. Like a red thread, this image idea runs through all pages of the publication. The colourful frames symbolise the promotion of talent, the facilitation of new things and the stimulation of creativity. In keeping with the theme and client, we developed a clear innovative aesthetic – in terms of content structure, consistent layout and reduced typography. The headlines of the individual chapters were given friendly colors, which were repeated in the captions. The texts, reduced to the essentials, left room for a playful arrangement of the images.
